Our newest team member at Long Branch Lakes is Jennifer Oakes, Equestrian Resident Manager of the LBL Equestrian Center. Jennifer has been a part of the Center since the first open house with the Horseback Forum. She is an accomplished horse woman and has outstanding talents as a rider, competitor and instructor. She is devoted to the animals and the Center's constant care and attention. She resides with her husband Chad and five children on the Cumberland Plateau on land that is contiguous to Long Branch Lakes. She and her family are just a short drive to the Equestrian Center where their horses are kept.
Jennifer moved to the area 8 years ago from West Virginia. She comes from a long family heritage of horse traders and trainers. Her father is one of the largest horse traders in West Virginia, and and her uncle is a Western Pleasure horse trainer there. Her mother and grandparents also had a lifelong passion and love of horses.
She has a vast knowledge of the prestigious and beautiful horse trails at Long Branch Lakes. Jennifer welcomes all breeds of horses and can customize any dietary and individual care requirements as needed.
Jennifer boasts many trophies from showing horses in her office, including the Three-Year Challenge Trophy for a style-racking class. She provides lessons for both English and Western as well as jumping, barrels, Western Pleasure and walking horses.
Jennifer and her husband Chad have five children: Kaitie, 14; Katlyn, 13; Molly, 11: Cody, 9; and C.W., 5. Their family takes great pride in participating in the Equestrian Center and enjoying the animals. They look forward to spending time with potential purchasers and owners as they move to Long Branch Lakes and make it their home.
