The Long Branch Lakes Equestrian center is proud to announce our Equine Manager, Jennifer Oakes. Jennifer has participated on and off the Center since the very first open house with the Horseback events and trail rides. She is an accomplished person and has outstanding talents as a rider, competitor and instructor. She is very passionate about horses and their constant care and attention. She resides with her husband Chad and five children on their family farm that is adjacent to Long Branch Lakes. She and her family are just a short distance to the barns where the horses call home.
Jennifer moved to the area 8 years ago from West Virginia. She comes from a long family heritage of horse trainers and brokers. Her father is one of the largest horse traders in West Virginia, and her uncle is a Western Pleasure horse trainer there. Her mother and grandparents also had a lifelong devotion to their love for horses.
She has a vast knowledge of the prestigious and meandering horse trails within Long Branch Lakes and in the contiguous Bledsoe State Forest. Jennifer welcomes ALL breeds of horses and can customize any dietary or other individual care requirements as needed on an individual basis.
Jennifer has many accolades and numerous trophies from showing horses in her office, including the Three-Year Challenge Trophy for a style-racking class. She provides lessons for both English and Western as well as jumping, barrels, Western Pleasure and walking horses.
Jennifer and her husband Chad have five children: Kaitie, 14; Katlyn, 13; Molly, 11: Cody, 9; and C.W., 5. The Oakes family takes great pride in participating in the Equestrian Center and enjoying the time on the backs of horses at any given opportunity. They look forward to spending time with potential purchasers and owners as they move to Long Branch Lakes and make it their home.
